FSC is an international certification and labelling system that certifies forest products as coming from responsibly managed forests and verified recycled sources. Under FSC certification, forests are certified against a set of environmental and social standards, and fibre from certified forests is tracked to the buyer through a chain of custody certification system. posted on 8:42 AM, January 13, 2011

SFI Inc. is a non-profit organization responsible for maintaining, overseeing and improving a sustainable forestry certification program in North America. The SFI 2010-2014 Standard is based on principles and measures that promote sustainable forest management.
